  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro and lime juice for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the prepared sauce mixture and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil over the top and finish with lime juice and cilantro before serving.
