  • 1 cup sugar + 2 tbsp (divided)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a glass pie plate; refrigerate.
  3. Toss thinly sliced apples with lemon juice in a large bowl.
  4. In another bowl, mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, cloves, and salt; coat apples evenly.
  5. Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture, then pour the vanilla-infused cream over it.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (176°C) and bake for an additional 55-65 minutes.
  7. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
