  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, hoisin sauce, and optional red pepper flakes; pour into the pan with beef.
  5. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
  6. Toss in the cooked noodles until well coated with the sauce.
