  • 3/4 cup (170 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup (200 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter, room temperature
  • 1 large egg, plus one egg yolk, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 3/4 cup (60 g) quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup to 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets in uniform sizes.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
