  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour (420-480g)
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (100g)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 tbsp softened unsalted butter (85g)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or chips (175g)
  • 1/4 cup softened cream cheese (56g)
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar (120g)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (21g)
  • 12 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and salt; mix well.
  3. Gradually incorporate flour until the dough forms; knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 10 minutes.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough, spread softened butter on top, sprinkle with filling mixture and chopped chocolate.
  7. Roll tightly and cut into equal pieces; place on a baking sheet to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
