  • 1/4 tsp almond extract

  • 1 & 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together baking powder, flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spread batter into a greased 9×9 inch baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool completely before frosting.
  6. For frosting, cream softened butter with powdered sugar; gradually add vanilla extract and heavy cream until desired consistency is reached. Frost cooled bars and top with sprinkles.
