  • 200g spaghetti
  • 6 crusty white rolls
  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves (for sauce)
  • 3 garlic cloves (for butter)
  • 500g tomato passata
  • 240ml beef stock
  • 100g butter
  • 200g mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a frying pan, heat olive oil and sauté diced onion until golden. Add minced garlic and ground beef; cook until browned. Stir in tomato puree.
  2. Pour in red wine, then add tomato passata, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, fresh basil, oregano, sugar, and seasonings. Simmer for 25 minutes.
  3. Hollow out the rolls and mix melted butter with garlic paste and parsley. Brush inside and outside of each roll.
  4. Cook spaghetti until al dente; combine with meat sauce. Fill each bread bowl with pasta mixture and top with shredded mozzarella.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
