  • 100 grams Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 100 grams egg whites
  • 105 grams almond flour
  • 187 grams Domino® Powdered Sugar (for filling)
  • 113 grams unsalted butter
  • 50 grams desiccated coconut (for decoration)
  • 4 grams egg white powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp meringue powder
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 drops black gel food coloring
  • 1 drop yellow gel food coloring
  • 63 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 tbsp milk or heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients and measure them accurately.
  2. Whisk egg whites until frothy, then gradually add golden sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in almond flour and powdered sugar gently.
  3. Pipe small circles onto parchment-lined baking sheets and let rest for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  4. Bake at 150°C (300°F) for 15-20 minutes until shells don't stick to parchment.
  5. While cooling, prepare the buttercream by whipping together all filling ingredients until fluffy.
  6. Assemble the macarons by filling half of the shells with buttercream and topping with another shell. Decorate as desired.
