  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced or chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined. Form into four oval patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side until browned. Remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions and mushrooms until tender, about 7-9 minutes.
  4. Lower heat; add butter and flour, stirring for 1-2 minutes to make a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
  6. Return patties to the skillet; simmer for 5-7 minutes until cooked through and gravy thickens.
