  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for another 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Simmer for about 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. If using broccoli, add it now and cook until tender (about 3–4 minutes).
  5. Serve the beef mixture over warm cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
