  • 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting towel

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice blend, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, cool slightly before rolling with a dusted towel.
  7. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Unroll the cake carefully, spread frosting evenly over it, then re-roll without the towel.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before slicing.
