  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 small sweet onion (finely diced)
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced)
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 8 cups shredded cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground turkey for about 5-6 minutes.
  2. Push turkey to one side, add remaining olive oil and onion; cook for about 3-4 minutes. Add carrots, garlic, and ginger; sauté for another 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and stir in cabbage, soy sauce, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on medium-low for about 12-15 minutes until cabbage softens.
  4. Stir in toasted sesame oil before serving over white rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
