  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. Mix in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and remaining cinnamon for the filling.
  5. Spread half of the dough in the prepared pan; sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture. Dollop with remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Swirl gently.
