  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey or chicken
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until translucent. Add minced garlic, sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt; cook until fragrant.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before combining it with the ground turkey or chicken.
  3. Roll out thawed puff pastry into a rectangle on a floured surface. Cut into strips wide enough for filling.
  4. Spoon sausage mixture along one edge of each strip and roll tightly away from you. Pinch edges securely.
  5. Brush each roll with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake on parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
