  • 1 box DeLallo No-Boil Lasagna
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 12 ounces Italian cheese blend (asiago or parmesan)
  • 24 ounces shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 jar DeLallo Simply Basil Pesto
  • 2 large eggs
  • 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup medium-bodied apple vinegar
  • 34 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1012 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • optional: 1 parmesan rind
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • kosher salt and ground black pepper, to season

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse chopped carrots, onion, and celery until finely minced; set aside.
  2. Blend turkey strips and garlic in the processor until minced.
  3. In a heavy pot, heat olive oil and add the vegetable mixture; cook for about 4-5 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the turkey mix, season with salt, then brown the ground beef.
  5. Deglaze with apple vinegar and add herbs, tomatoes, and broth; simmer for about 90 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, mix ricotta cheese, basil pesto, eggs, and parmesan in a bowl; season lightly.
  7. In a greased baking dish, layer sauce, noodles, ricotta mix, and cheeses until ingredients are used up.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours before baking at 375°F for one hour.
  9. Let rest before serving.
