  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp chicken base
  • 4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook chicken for about 5 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Remove chicken and lower heat. Add butter and chicken base; stir until melted.
  4. Whisk in flour, onion powder, and garlic powder; cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add chicken stock, stirring until smooth and thickened.
  6. Shred cooked chicken and return to the gravy; simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes.
