  • 1 cup + 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅔ cup ice water
  • 1½ cups apple butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by cutting cold butter into cubes and chilling it in the freezer.
  2. In a food processor, mix flour and salt, then add the cold butter until pea-sized pieces form.
  3. Gradually add ice water until the dough holds together without being wet.
  4. Chill the dough for at least an hour before rolling it out to fit your pie dish.
  5. Par bake the crust at 375°F for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the filling, combine apple butter, eggs, brown sugar, flour, vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  7. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake at the same temperature for another 30–35 minutes until set.
